Vacation Rental Regulations
In May 2020, after study of the issue by a Township committee and several public hearings to gather public input, the Corinna Town Board adopted a new Section 781 of the Corinna Township Land Use Ordinance entitled “Private/Vacation Home Rental” that regulates the rental of homes by the night or week. A portion of these regulations were effective in May 2020 and the remainder became effective on January 1, 2021.
After a year to gain some experience with the new regulations, the Township adopted several amendments to the vacation rental ordinance. The new language was adopted in February 2022.
The regulations require annual registration of vacation rental homes and, in some cases, a public hearing before they can be approved.
